Beginning a breif or maybe continuos homeschooling

I begin homeschooling today. I will have my child home with me for awhile and Today I begin taking my teaching role very seriously. She is learning to spell. if anyone has any tips or ideas please share. i need help. currently I am up giving my house a thorough cleaning and meditating on a few things i read on a particular blog. I will share the link. I hope i can have more children and potentially home school them. My daughter is the only child and its lonely for her. i am looking into networking with other homeschoolers.
